Yeah, you need to take the lower trail then just bash up the creek. Bit of trail visible here and there after that in the summer but it’s mostly all washed away after the hoodoos, not worth trying to follow. Much nicer in the spring when there’s just supportive crust or slippery but obvious logs and rocks, but then it’s a walk out too.

Looks like we should have tried the lower trail. Might have to wait for next season.
